     Telephones

Local calls can be made from public phones, whether coin or card operated. International calls can be made from phone booths with card phone facilities. Most hotels are equipped with IDD service with a minimal service charge.
The bee line connection in Kazakhstan is provided by three operators:
ALTEL cod 327 standard AMPS è NAMPS
K ' Mobill cod 333 standard "GSM"
K ' Cell cod 300 standard "GSM"

     Postal Services

Post offices are open daily from 9. a.m.-6.p.m. and closed on Sundays and public holidays.
Most international hotels provide postal services at their front desk.

     Time

Kazakhstan encompasses three time zones.Time zone: west - GMT+4, center - GMT+5, east- GMT+6, summer time (April-September)-GMT+5, GMT+6, GMT+7.
Transition to summer and winter time occurs in Spring and Autumn.

     Water

It is generally safe to drink water straight from the tap.

     Electricity

Kazakhstan 's voltage is 220 - 240 volts AC at 50 cycles pet-second.

     Medical Services

Medical services are available in most towns at government-run hospitals and private clinics.
Non-prescription drugs are available at pharmacies as well as hotels and shopping centres.
